Mike Drones is one of many alter egos of Michael Jones, Permahigh co-founder and all around regulator. For his debut release, the main man has delivered four heavy weight slabs of complex textures and twisted, emotional synths. From the relentless chaos of Balancing Shit, to the unexpected sleaze of Yes Lad, Mike’s music treats listeners to a depth of vision that seems to expand with each listen. Assured of its own individuality and unafraid of its own influences, the Mike Drones EP exists in a vacuum without limitations, where genre boundaries are not just transgressed, but discarded entirely.
